Ministerial Higher Christian Education Endowment Fund Established
This year I celebrate 30 years of ministry alongside you as Associate Pastor. It continues to be a joy to serve this congregation. That being said, my wife and I presented the seed investment of $5,000.00 to the Executive Council and Endowment Committee to establish a fund to assist any member or former member who surrenders to the call to ministry.
My desire is that the FBC family would have the opportunity to apply for and receive financial assistance to continue their education after high school in order to be equipped for part time, full time, or bi-vocational work.
The process for seeking financial assistance from this fund should follow this path:
The candidate must complete an application form, (contact church office for form)
A committee of three will review the application and interview the candidate.
Once approved, funds will be paid directly to an accredited Christian school/entity reflecting our FBC Asheboro statement of faith, our covenant, values and mission. The recipient’s progress will be reviewed by a committee of three.
A target date to commission the endowment is August 28, 2016. There are two ways that one may choose to give to the fund. First, you may choose to give online at www.fbcasheboro.com. Follow the directions to “giving” and scroll down to the Hall Ministerial Ed. Fund. Second, you may give by writing a check made out to FBC Asheboro and indicate on the memo line Ministerial Higher Ed. Endowment.
Karen and I are grateful for this season of our lives to give back in this manner. May this investment underscore our never ending goal to win people to Christ, equip them and send them forward in the work the Lord has called us to do.
Respectfully yours in His service,
W. Mark Hall, Associate Pastor
