What is AWE Anyway?
AWE stands for Alternative Worship Experience. It’s a ‘Come as you are” type of worship service in a casual setting.
What is it about?
To be perfectly honest, it’s about you and God: Unconditional love, learning about Jesus, growing in Christ, and glorifying God.
Why should there be an Alternative Worship Experience?
Why not? For many people, going to “church” just doesn’t happen. Work can be the reason, as can a bad past experience. Perhaps you’ve never been to church at all. The things that tie all of us is that we have questions about our lives and where we fit in the world.
One thing to remember is that we all are people, human beings. And God loves us all. Church is not the building, the music, or the steeple and pews – it’s the people.
Where is AWE located?
We have the AWE service at the Chapel of First Baptist Church at 6pm. This is located at the corner of Hoover Street and N. Church Street.
We invite everyone to come and bring a friend! We have a great time of praising God, study, discussion and worshiping together in a casual atmosphere.
If you have a friend or loved one who is searching for a place to be accepted, a group that will love them, journey with them, a fellowship of believers who are interested in discipleship – then AWE is the place for them.
